Alex Trebek has passed due to pancreatic cancer. He was 80.

I skipped watching Jeopardy in the runup to the election, because I didn't want to subject myself to the deluge of political ads that run during the show. So, I haven't seen the show in a couple of months or more. Now I'm mad at myself.

I haven't watched in years, but he always seemed like a decent human being. RIP.

I’m saddened.

I’ll also point out that, for someone with pancreatic cancer, he lasted quite a while. It tends to be brutal, but pretty fast.

Oh, and I f&cking hate cancer... This is yet another reason to hate it.

Cancer is one of the most hated things in the world. I lost a love one to it. Must eat healthily and live healthily but sometimes it just happens.

Forgot to add that I used to watch a lot of Jeopardy with my family and would always try to guess the right answers. I used to always have the upper hand but every time it came to an animal category, my family would always groan because I had that category down. Little did I know until many years later that the categories and questions (kind of) were know to the contestants beforehand. That would explain how they knew so much subject matter. I wish that there was a game where nothing was known beforehand. Yes, more boring, but more realistic.

That beings aid, Alex was a great host and I liked his style. He will be missed.

Yeah, that rings home for me, too, unfortunately.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
