The links to the standalone installers are currently broken. I'm going to wait a few days on this one I think.

What's the build number?

(Look under "About this Mac" and click on the version number to see the build ID.)

Just popped up for me too. I think I'm going to wait a few days for this one, see if any problems arise. 10.3.6 is working great for me, so no need to update right away...

I'm going to wait a few days also. Since Homeworld 2 works perfect after the 10.3.6 update I don't want to take a chance.

In a support environment I'd keep using 10.3.6 for a while until 10.3.7 has been tested out so you can still get some use out of that CD.

I'm very curious if this update improves performance of WoW. Since I mainly play the game on my PC, and my wife plays on the laptop (:O), maybe I'll take the plunge. If anyone is braver than I, please post your experience.

Resolves an issue in which Safari, Mail, and other networking applications that use DNS lookups could experience intermittent connectivity issues with Security Update 2004-09-30 and Mac OS X 10.3.5 or later installed.

Initial rumors (last week) were that 10.3.7 was supposed to improve support for HP laser printers. Just installed 10.3.7 but the same documents that refused to print under 10.3.5 still won't print with either my HP2100 or HP 1220. Oh well.

So far, it's going good. I just now updated via software update and all the "can't find website" B$ hasn't popped up yet. Used Camino and Firefox and on a public wifi network where it usually borks up.

It would appear to be fixed here, anyway. There's a couple pages I visit that ALWAYS time out, and so far, so good with them.

I am getting much better 3D rendering and lighting effects with 10.3.7 both on my ATI 9700 and my nv6800 Ultra....

I use Chimera 1.3.5 as a benchmark, and 10.3.7 is a significant improvement both in image and frame rate.

If you're unfamiliar with Chimera, it's a cool 3D app and a useful benchmark. The Atlantis, Grail2, and HexaDesk are the best looking and most demanding benchmarks. In the prefs you can feel free to modify many settings, but I would avoid checking the fullscreen bloom as that tends to cause a kernel panic with my prior experience.

Hey guys could you tell me if the 10.3.7 combo update includes updated versions of (iTunes v4.7, Garageband v1.1, and iCal v1.5.5)? I manually downloaded iTunes, Garageband, and iCal. I'm not sure if I need them now.

Thanks !

not sure if this is due to the update, but expose doesn't function properly now. the application window command does not dim background windows. for some reason it is just dimming the background and leaving all windows undimmed.

I feel your pain, I too am a affected MDD G4 owner.
I submitted a freaking bug report to Apple after 10.3.6 came out. It's puzzling and frustrating that Apple didn't address this.

The only difference I've seen is a little pause when mounting external Firewire HDs, like the OS is checking something.

I was wondering that as well. Disk Utility hasn't changed at all. hmmmmm .. and it clearly says "functionality" which I assume means something more that just compatibility with new devices.

So far so good, Quartz seems faster, OpenGL too (though it tests slower in Xbench- maybe it's not reliable anymore)

The best part is that internet speeds have literally doubled to 4679 kbps.
However, an annoying DNS Resolving Host issue still exists with a few sites, but I can live with that.

It probably means it stopped making QPS drives explode or something.
