I sorta am. I was driving today and saw a clown waiting at an interesection. It (he/she?) looked at me and then smiled. I didn't like the smile, it was weird.

LOL. My girlfriend is a clown. Its a lot of fun when we drive to one of her gigs and we pull up at the lights, the looks she gets

I, I just can't look at her in the same way when she has this huge painted smile on her face though! It just shatters all my childhood memories thinking that clowns actually have boyfriends/girlfriends!

EDIT: ticked the 'i am a clown' option in the poll since Kate isn't on here

That reminds me of Uncle Buck, where he punches out that clown because he was drunk showing up to Miles' birthday party. Popped his nose. That IT clown is freaky.

C'mon people. IT IS A JOB!
We are talking about clowns here like if they were a dangerous species.
They are common people with a not so common job.
Personally, I don't like clowns. I find them boring.

You know who I'm afraid of? Used car dealers.

When I was 4, my mum painted a couple of pictures of clowns for my room and I was deathly afraid of them. On the other hand, we also had two wood block prints of Samurai in full war gear and they were reassuring.

Sorry to dig up an old thread*, but I just found a rather amusing clown site, I Hate Clowns. It has some funny stuff. And for those truly scared of clowns, don't follow the link on that site to www.scaryornot.com.

I think "IT" ruined clowns for a lot of us.
They're all creepy now.

I always thought that the whole, "I have a phobia of clowns" was just an overused pitch or running gag on TV or in movies. Then I saw a documentary preview based around that fear. They bring in a clown, and these people are literally freakin out! Pushing themselves back in their chairs, digging their fingers into the arm cushions. Then I missed it.. cuz I don't have cable.. It seemed really interesting.

Clowns are cool because they are made from clowonium. A rare element that allows for condencing objects down so they can fit into small spaces. Which is why clown cars hold so many cars.
