I just downloaded Win XP and running through VPC. With my Mac I just plug in my connection from my wall jack. With Windows I know it takes some configuration and all, but Im not sure what. How do I need to set it up? I have my ip address and as fa as i know there isn't a password needed to gain access to the system. Any suggestions?

there should be settings within VPC that allow the Windows virtual machine to get its net connection from the Mac.

Come again? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
Further, there are a bunch of different VPC products for Windows XP; the settings almost always depend on which product you have, and how the school's VPN server is configured. A little more information is needed.
