So there I was, standing amongst 80,000 other people in the stadium peering through the crowd to see my team on the field. And I start to think (after a month of working on a heavy AutoCAD assignment), if I could just switch these people from Flat Shaded to Wireframe, I could see right through them. Seriously, I almost reached for a non-existent mouse.

An then I thought about it again today when straightening up my desk, that if I had a virtual "snap to grid", it would be so much easier to straighten up things.

If I could lock my arm in 15 degree increments, drawing architectural stuff would be a helluva lot easier too.

Anyone else have any interesting ways life would be better if it opperated more like a computer?

I always wish real life had a find command when I'm digging around through boxes for some random item I put there years ago.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

I commonly wish I could hit Command-W when I'm lying in my bed freezing, wanting to close my bedroom window.

And this made me think of something funny that happened when I was younger. In the days of Nintendo (the first one) me, my brothers and my cousins were all game heads. We were staying over at our cousin's place one night, and were rough housing in the living room. An errant pillow hit a nice lamp, and the lamp ever so slowly (or at least it seemed like it was in slow motion to us) started to tip over to crash onto the floor. Before anyone could say or do anything, and without hesitation, my cousin yells out "PAUSE IT!!"

We laughed our asses off for a good hour about that one.

This thread is the "Outstanding geek thread" of the year.

At the movies the "minimize" command would be nice for getting rid of people in your way of vision.

The mute button would be nice for the idiots that think it's appropriate to bring their three year old to see Jurassic Park or who think nothing of talking on their cell phone in the middle of the movie.

Commad+option+esc=3fingered salute. Old-school pre-OS X.

The other seven hang over the rest of the keyboard.
