I am converting VHS video to digital using my mini DV cam. The VHS tapes are old home videos that my mom had. Parts of these videos have deteriated slightly, some sections get lines or jitter a little. I am using iMovie HD to import these files and plan to burn them to DVD and give them back to her. Is there any software solution that will help clean up the video or is it too late? Thanks

there isnt much you can do in imovie because it was designed for quick cuts, titling, and basic stuff
even pros may not beable to do much, probably the most pros would beable to do is fix the color and a few of the scratches mainly because it would require manual work..nothing automatic...sorry

well, i've done work on some old video and that software seems to be for "medium aged" videos...
and for older age, where you get picture smearing and blurrines..it wont solve it..
