I got the last 20" cinema display and the stock 16 MB card is not supported. I need to upgrade with a cheap video card. Any models recomended? any suppliers or offers? Any advice will be surely welcomed.
Thanks a bunch,

What kind of Mac are you talking about? The only one you listed that has an upgrade path is the Cube, and that's got a pretty limited upgrade path at that.

If your cube has the Rage128 card, which has 16 megs of ram, then you are really sort of dead in the water. You need 32 megs of ram, the Radeon or GeForce cards would drive that monitor. You have to decide if you want to go to the trouble! The expense isn't bad, but the cube and the card need some surgery. Here's how:

Oh, I just looked at the title of the thread: videocard upgrade for Power Mac G4 (Sawtooth). Duh!
What card are you looking at upgrading to?

Any ATI 9200 and up should work fine. I have used ATI 7000 video cards for those monitors and they just don't seem to have enough horsepower to drive things smoothly enough.
I would really reccomend a flashed 9800. If you are comfortable with video card flashing, they represent the best price/performance ratio available.

I have a flashed 9800 Pro in my G4 Digital Audio. I actually got it from BigBadBiologist. You can get them for around $75. Great card.

There's info/instructions here on flashing all sorts of cards:

I like the 128meg 9800 pro cards because they generally have a very high success rate and DVI, VGA, and (supposedly, I haven't tried) TV out works.
