I have a dual 1.8 G5 and am looking to upgrade the video card. I bought an ATI 9600 Pro (256 Mb) AGP card. I've added drives and memory before, but not a video card - which seems a bit more complicated.
The instructions in my G5 manual and those that came with the card seemed fine, until I got to the point where I had removed the old AGP card, inserted the new card in that slot, and was trying to remove the optical drive to make the connections with the Y power cable.

That was when I got stuck. I couldn't get the drive out and couldn't find a 'how to' for removing the drive.

Can someone point me to it?

Are there any potential snags I should look out for?

Thanks.
