I am attempting a repair on my powerbook titanium but one of the screws on the back has become rounded and won't come out! Could someone please advise me on how I can remove it as screw drivers just go round and round with no grip. Think a screw extracter might work like the one from JML? PLEasE HELP!!!

Thanks.

You could try soldering something on top of the screw to get it out...

Is the screw important or can you get a new one. If you can replace it then:

Get something strong but less than a centimeter thick.
Put some strong glue on the tip of it and put the tip on the screw.
Let the glue dry so that they are stuck together and then spin until the screw comes out.

This is not a joke. It has worked with me.

Last time this happened to me with a client laptop, I used a drill bit and drilled it out. I think the glue idea mentioned above would work too if the screw isn't tight.

Get a screwdriver that fits the screw that you are prepared to sacrifice, and, as others suggested, crazy glue it to the screw, and take it out that way, or else drill out the screw.
