I'm looking for a 256MB module. Onvia.ca charges $131 for a 128 MB module but wants $541 for the 256 MB module.

I did notice they sell a PowerBook bronze 256MB module for approx. $250 - will that work in my iBook (SE 466)?

Or if anyone can find a better location to buy, that'd be great.

Thanks.

Ck out ramseeker.com for low prices on ram. I am thinking of going w. either OWC or Datamemory Syst. for 256 mgs of ram.
Prob. will ck out DataMem. since OWC just raised their price...

I might be able to get you one for $250CAD + shipping. It would take about 2 weeks. I'm in Vancouver so no customs, and I'm paypal verified. LMK

There is no (retail) place to get cheap RAM in Canada, if you want to be sure it works with your iBook. Go to US web-sites, whose RAM costs, when you factor in shipping and exchange are still 50% of Apple Reseller prices here. And they have lifetime warranties. If you can't install it yourself, get it done for about $25 by an Apple authorized reseller. Do not, I repeat, do not ever buy Apple RAM or from an Apple specialist. It's a complete rip-off.
Case in point. 256MB for PBg3 - 128US+24 FedEx 2day= 152US or $225 Canadian (no duties, local sales and GST apply - possibly a $5 fee for customs). At a local place,$549CDN, before taxes! Insane.
try these sites: www.transintl.com www.otherworldcomputing.com
I've bought from these before, and they're reliable. BTW, make sure the company does not ship UPS - they have brutal customs charges.

I've just ordered 256 Mb from http://www.transintl.com/ : US $128+ US $29 shipping (FedEx) = US $157. Curious to see the custom charge. Anyway, in Belgium the 256 Mb costs... +/- US $550. Elephant s***t.

WOW! Even with the shipping and Customs it's still half the price of ram up here in Canada (from Macwarehouse).
From OtherWolrdComputing 256 MB for G4
105 + 20(shipping) +10(custom) = 135$US = 200$CAN

From MacWarehouse 256MB for G4
240$US = 370$CAN

Ethan79,

today I received my shipment from http://www.transintl.com, so it took one week from Ca, USA to Belgium, Europe. FedEx shipped.
256 Mb for $ 128 + $ 29 = $ 157....
