Everything from Roland Emmerich.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I know! 100% agree.

I saw that movie (in it's day) and instantly realized that this was a bad movie. I loathed it. But at the time nobody else dared to admit it. It was the largest case of peerpressure I've seen!

Like Titanic or... (well, it wasn't THAT bad, really)
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Hey! Hackers was really good. Unless you were expecting something realistic? C'mon, they can't make a realistic Hacker movie - nothing would happen, and nobody wants to watch a bunch of pimply-faced social rejects who live in their parents' basement run a buffer overrun script and call themselves a hacker.

I viewed Hackers more of a look into the way computer nerds see themselves (or would like to) - when you think about it that way, it's really quite enjoyable.

Drowning Leonardo: "Never Let Go!"
Cold Kate: "I promise!"

That scene made me laugh.

Hackers was an amazing satire. The teens were out trying to stop bad things from happening, while the main guy out against them acted like a big baby. Independence Day was not horrible, I find it very entertaining. Sphere was a great book but horrible movie. And yes, Titanic sucked ass. And it sucked even more ass having to watch it in Spanish.

You people think too recently. Those movies are Oscar nominations in comparison with the following:

Jack Frost (Horror, not the one with Michael Keeton)
Troll 2

However, I thought Gladiator kicked ass. I love Ridley Scott ever since saw Alien all those years ago (now I own the Alien DVD box set which kicks major ass, also have the Gladiator DVD which is cool.)

A movie I can predict will be absolutely terrible is that Vampire one with that singer chick who died in that plane crash. Allaja or something. Even the preview sucked.

Nah, I hated that also.

All-time worst is Armageddon.

It wasn't even campy-fun. Just horrible cliche's and idiotic characters.

If I see another slow-motion walk towards the camera I'm gonna puke. That's when you know a director has literally no imagination. It seemed like the whole movie was full of this slow-motion crap to show 'significance'.

Michael Bay's a hack.

You guys don't watch enough bad movies.

Peter Jackson's Bad Taste is just, well, bad. It's his first full film and was made with pocket money. Really, really bad.

Also Peter Jackson's Meet The Feebles. Simultaneously the worst and best movie I have ever seen. You will watch with your mouth agape at how (brilliantly) tasteless it is. Muppets with drug habits.

And this guy did Lord of the Rings?

"The Matrix" = worst movie ever followed by "the Lord of the Rings"

Thankfully Star Wars Episode 1 rocked on so many levels.

Oh and "the Mexican" was awesome. Brad Pitt is the shakespearian actor of our times. Simply a great a actor. Anyone who thinks otherwise must smell like roqueford.

Good day sir

I agree, that is also generally accepted to be one of the worst movies ever. It's one of those movies you just hate every minute, which is an accomplishment.

I disagree with art_director about "the Gods must be crazy". I liked it, part II is no good.

I like how a lot of those movies won several academy awards. Amadeus was best picture for what 98? or 97 I don't remember. Clockwork Orange one of the best movies ever made, Matrix nuf said, Princess Bride had one of the best sword scenes in a movie, ever! Fight Club was just weird, but one of the most interesting stylistic movies ever made, ect.. ect...

You are kidding right. If you are then, good joke. If not? Well, I will leave you to the wolves.

No a truely bad movie was "Silent Witness". The villain was just plain moronic, the actor that is. He played him like a cartoon villain for 3 year olds.

Um, the punch lines were horrible, in a movie that was pretty serious, and should not have had punch lines, the kid was annoying... blah blah. They spent their entire budget on a car crash/chase seen. Oo, and it looked like they filmed the flying over the city thingy (you know like in jurasic park where they fly a camera in a helicopter to get a look at the island) out of a cesna with a home video camera.

Bad movie, doubt it even broke even. And the award for worst acting in a medium budget movie goes too, you guessed it, that stupid gay villain.

Honest, we were all laughing our asses off at this movie because it was so bad. Every 2 minutes we would break out laughing, and this was not at all a funny story, or script.

My advice, if ever you see it at a movie store, and think to yourself, this could be interesting, take that movie and pull out all its tape, and put it back in the case. You will be doing everyone a huge favour.

Holy crap batman! You sound like a critic. I feel so dirty, they tried to make a good movie, but it just didn't work. So no harsh feelings towards them, it is just one of those things that is doomed from the start, or just has really bad luck, kinda like performing Macbeth does. Yes there is 2 meanings in referncing to Macbeth.

Uh, ya... so I should stop typing, anytime now, how abouuuuuttttt........ right....... now! K, There.

The Mummy Returns and AI for sure. I liked The Matrix though. And The Gods Must Be Crazy. And a few others that people have ruled out.

How many films did the Mummy Returns rip off? That bit where the ship thing takes off EXACTLY like the millennium falcon... it rips off Star Wars, ET, Baron Munchausen and more... which would be ok if it was in a spoof but I didn't get the impression that it was. That was the only reason to carry on watching - to spot the rip-offs. AI was just plain sh*t too.

AI wasn't *that bad*. Perhaps the worst movie I have EVER seen is the last Highlander. That movie was awful. Second would have to be A Walk to Remember (my friend made me watch this, and we ended up laughing through the entire movie). Filling the final spot on my podium would have to be Mission to Mars. AWFUL!

How can you guys say that Matrix, LOTR, and Princess Bride and such are on your lists? IMO, these are all great films, push the limits of film making.

I was talking with one of my Linux using friends about this last night and he said that Training Day would have to be on his list for sure...its crazy, I LOVED Training Day. The concept of the film was *so* original...we need more originality and not the same old washed up shit every time.
