In my School's Library. I was just wondering around and thought "Hey, I wonder if they carry MacWorld".

Not only do they have it. They have ALL of it:
2008 iMac 3.06 Ghz, 2GB Memory, GeForce 8800, 500GB HD, SuperDrive
8gb iPhone on Tmobile

He would need OCR (optical character reckognition) capabilities. I'm not sure if he's got em.

Sounds like I will have to take a trip back to the Library. Until then, I have one remaining picture of that first issue. The world's introduction to the desktop.

I don't have OCR software, unless there's some open source offering I could snatch up. I could however just take the pictures if someone would like to translate.

I'll give it a shot. I don't have a scanner, but my Landlord does. I can use that. I'm not sure if the Library will allow the periodicals to be checked out. I've found that to be hit or miss in various places. I'll look into it folks.

Amazing photo!! And most I like in it, the consistency of Jobs' message to the world - bring computing to people - he did it then, does it now, and will do it in future - and does it brilliantly!

The first picture certainly doesn't look like our Steve. The second picture is the persona we love. Nice find.

That is awesome... so awesome...
Is that worth any money, besides the "Mac enthusiast cool factor sentimental value"...?

Every MacWorld? That's freaking awesome. You should dig up back issues and look at articles from key moments in their history.

It's always fun to find an old magazine.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Wow. I can hardly believe it's eight years since the NeXT thing was first in the news. Great find, again.

Awesome find. It reminds me of the time I found a PowerBook 140 with all these still-shrinkwrapped accessories. The best haul? All four Apple Computer stickers still wedged in the manual.

Does anyone know if there's a MacWorld magazine archive somewhere? If not, SirCastor could scan these bit by bit and be hailed as an oldschool Mac guru god. Jealous...
