I got a replacement superdrive for my powerbook:
Model: MATSHITADVD-R UJ-825
Revision: DAND

When I stick a dvd in, dvd player starts and refuses to play it.The dvd doesn't mount on the desktop and claims "Supported disk not available".I can however play dvds using VLC.It references the dvd as /dev/rdisk1 and plays just fine.If I navigate to /Volumes/DVDNAME all the contents are there.

My dvd player is set to region 2 and this happens with region 2 and region free dvds.Audio cds mount on the desktop just fine.

Dvd player 4.6
Mac Os X 10.4.2

Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.
