I was doing a search on prototype Macs (the kinda with the green or white transparent cases used for the prototype molding) and I came across this by accident:

SeeThru Hard Case for 15" MacBook Pro

I've never seen these before, they're cool.

If I can get a MacBook Pro, I'm definitely gonna get one. I hope it'll keep the metal from getting bent. On the laptop I had previous to my current PowerBook, the corner got dented a little when it fell off the couch, even while in its laptop bag.

Edit: Oops, I guess it's polycarbonate and not acrylic. Still cool, though.

I think there were port changes with the new C2Ds. FW800 normally. It is early and so I don't remember.

Will they leave marks where they attach or clip on? Thought I read something about that but not sure.

I do wonder how the case is going to affect the cooling--because the shell won't be radiating the heat like it normally would.

OTO, I really like the idea of putting photos under the clear case.
