Nope. Nothing on Software Update and nothing at Apple Support Downloads either.

9:35 pm EST (exactly 12 hours after what MacNN says).

Guys, it's pretty obvious what the problem is here. Franz actually posted this thread tomorrow, but it showed up today due to the state of temporal flux in which MacNN is currently stuck.
( Last edited by CharlesS; Jun 26, 2006 at 10:28 AM. )

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

This whole thread is like one big April Fool's joke (in June) and all the eager beaver updaters fell for it! There is no 10.4.7 yet.

"fell for it?" Not really. Nobody here said anything about believing the original poster. They simply noted there wasn't an update.

I am not lying. Perhaps the update was pulled, but it was on there for at least a minute or two.

I guess they will put it back online tomorrow, and you will see the release notes match up.

Yikes, you got the bad update that causes major kernel panics. I would back-up and reinstall from scratch as soon as possible. Best of luck to you!

Right.
OS XI is so far in the future, it's like where no man has gone before, or something.
I can't see Apple switching OS X to OS XI, even if it is logical. Or if they do, all the graphic artists will leave, because no-one will want to try to design sexy packaging like Panther or Tiger with a "I" besides the "X".
