D-Link has a page for the products they commit to supporting on MacOS X
http://dlink.com/products/category.asp?cid=38.
The DI-784 is listed on that page, so I assume its supported. That said, you may be overbuying. The 784 supports all three bands, 802.11 a/b/g. If you're only using an Airport-only network you only need b/g, which is a lot cheaper. Look at the DI-624 (supports 802.11 b/g). Its about $150 (US) less than the 784.
I have a 624, and generally like it. There are a few setup oddities, but it is very configurable. Most important, it supports WPA-PSK security which Apple has added support for in the latest Airport/Airport Extreme drivers for 10.3 (including WPA support on the older Airport cards).
