A photo obtained by French website NWE depicts what's claimed to be a 1,810mAh battery for the iPhone 6. The part is consistent with a recent rumor, and represents roughly a 16 percent improvement over the iPhone 5s. If it's authentic though, any gains will probably be offset by the extra power demands of the 6's 4.7-inch display, and possibly its A8 processor. Apple is typically able to make efficient use out of batteries through software and hardware optimization, but a 1,810mAh battery could be disappointing to people who were hoping Apple would make the phone more competitive with Android rivals. Some high-end Android devices are able to last a full day or more on a single charge, whereas an iPhone 5s can typically only last several hours.

Oh come on! You do realise that this statement ...
"Some high-end Android devices are able to last a full day or more on a single charge, whereas an iPhone 5s can typically only last several hours."
... is complete and utter nonsense? It's not logical, not scientific, and essentially just a big fucking meaningless thing to say. It shows that the author has a HUGE bias that they even used it.

Same old same old... bigger hard drives begets bigger files, bigger battery begets more cycles to spend it on.

I seem to recall battery life comparisons being rather favorable to the 5s. "Several hours" is pretty funny, and the hack who wrote this should probably be put on probation for it.
And Hillbilly Geek:
a) storage size has almost nothing to do with battery consumption.
b) iOS devices don't have "hard drives".
Faster processors and bigger screens require more power.

I'd love to have 1.5x (3x, for that matter) the battery life. I carry an extra USB battery with me.
