I am not talking about a hardware hack,
but is there a way to FLIP the Image on my laptop screen?

Here's the situation
I have a PB 17" and I am goiing to be streaming video in with a camera that has a mounted 35mm lens on it - this is great for Depth of Field but it also flips the image -
I will be usingg the llaptop as a monitor and will thus be need ing to flip the image as I shoot.
There is nothing in Final Cut to do this -
so I was wondering, with Core Image, shouldn't this effect be easy?
Anything?

Thanks
J

Did you check the Monitors prefpane for the rotation option? I think you should be able to set it to 180 degrees.

thanks,
got the answer here:
"simply rotation, you can do this very easily if your laptop is a recent 15" or 17" PowerBook - simply hold down the option key as you click the Displays button in the System Preferences and you will be presented with an option to rotate the display through 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

Alternatively, download and install the ATI Displays control panel to be able to do the same thing:"
