Do the 2.4GHz phones interfere with Airport reception, and if so, would adding a password to my network help me from getting knocked off?

They can, and a password won't help.

Keep the phone base as far away as possible and you could try changing the wireless channel you're connected to. I've heard microwaves can also cause problems as well. I had problems with my cordless phone interfering in the past. It cleared up after buying a new phone.
Unfortunately password protecting your network won't remedy this.

I'm actually thinking this isn't a phone problem, the other computer connected to this airport works just fine, it's a pc with a USB wireless card though
