Hi,
My old computer's Airport card stopped working, so I simply connected it via the cable from an Airport. I now have a need to move the computer to a different room, and have a few questions:

1 - How do I know the Airport card is the problem, as opposed to something inside the computer? I ask because I'd hate to buy a new card, and the computer is broken. The Firewire stopped working on this computer as well (Graphite 700MHz iMac G3)

2 - I have a few Belkin/Linksys USB adapters here, the Belkin site says it only works on Windows, is there a way to make these work on an iMac?

3 - I have no problem moving the Airport to another room, everything else in the house is wireless, but I have cable TV, is this the same connection, or do I need to have a different cable installed? If I can use this same cable, how do I go about splitting it so there is TV in that room (my son's room) as well?

Thanks! There might be a different/easier solution, please recommend it if so, this is all I can think of!
