I am using an NSURLClient to download data from the internet specified with an http address (e.g. http://www.somehost.com/afile.txt). My question is, if data has been succesfully downloaded and then I try to download the same file/data again, will the URL just pull the data from the cache? If so, does NSURL ask the server for a "last modified" date of the file or something?

I have read over the documentation and the downloading works great, but I am just better trying to understand how the caching works.

TIA.
