I was wondering who would be the one to post this outside the OSX forum.

Installed without a hitch for me. All my software seems to run. Now, whether to turn on the JFS or not. Decisions, decisions....

Yeah, a simple terminal command turns it on (it's off by default).

I'm running HFS+ w/JFS on the iBook now.
There's no reason not to.
Turn it on, lose 8 megs of disk space, and be happy.

23.3 MB download took 83 minutes. I wish Apple remembered that us dial-up users like to update too.
Why don't they use localized installers? Afraid people will download the wrong one?

Cause first Apple would release the US vers... then the blah vers... then the other vers... and by the time they got to the poor little Brazillians, it'd be time for the next update.

So, what exactly is happening when you're running this? I read a tech release on the subject, so I know what the journaling is supposed to do ... I mean, what difference do YOU notice running it ?? 8 megs? Will that increase ad infinitum as it has been in use longer ??
