And what's really strange is that I'm only a 'part time' Geek... I go out and everything

Peace,

Marc

Edit - I think the test may be flawed, as thinking about it, yep, I'm a geek, but not by that much...

Most boring test ever. Finishing it, alone should have given me 10 more geek points.

that was my point earlier..

I think once you're at the 'poser' level, people around you already think you're a 'geek'...
this was a 'for geeks by geeks' kind of poll, sort of 'we know you're a geek, but are you a super duty geek?'

22% was me... I couldn't imagine bein' over 50%..

i mean jesus.. what a geek.

Haven't seen Pirates of Silicon Valley, have you? According to the movie, Billy G and his MS buddies bought DOS from a guy who owned a little computer shop for $50,000. Then they renamed it and kept working on it.

Actually, I found the book Fire in the Valley (which the movie was based on) to be far more interesting than the movie.

Not all that surprising. Some of that stuff didn't seem all that geeky to me but I guess that's just proving their point.

Original name: QDOS (Quick and Dirty Operating System)

Much of the code was copied (according to Gary Kildall) from CP/M.

CP/M was really a better OS than DOS. i use it on a Mac Apple II long time ago (i even make some programs on this machine using assembler, like 15 years ago)

BTW: 60.435% in the test

Why not write a survey for me.

You must be one hell of a lurker to have 100 posts and say something like that.
