Hey,

I have found a short guide on the net on how to connect a Mac to a Novell network, however it was written right back in the OS 8 days, and there are quite a few different terms nowadays, such as:

1. Click on the Apple Menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select Chooser.

2. In the Chooser, you will need to click on the AppleShare icon on the left side of
the window. At this point, two buttons will appear on the bottom of the right side
of the windows. You will need to click on the button marked Server IP Address.

Wow, the only thing that makes sense to me using OS X is 'click on the Apple Menu in the upper left corner" - no idea what the Chooser is or anything....

So, I would much appreciate it if you could p'haps take a looksie at this guide (tis not very long), and help a realitivly new Mac user with the old skool language!

Cheers :

In the Finder, choose "Connect to Server" from the Go menu, then type the IP address they gave you in that guide. After that point, the instructions are pretty much the same.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
