Nah let's better not, might get ugly. But here's what I did with my bike today: I'm drivin' a 1987 Yamaha XJ600 51J and I have to admit that I didn't really like the looks of it. Here's how it used to look:

And since I had some spare time today I decided to do something about it. I took off the front part, bought a new headlight and am now a proud owner of a unique Yamaha XJ600 51J Naked Bike!

I think it looks just awesome, way better than before. Never thought that this bike would look so hot nekked. Sure, I don't have no windshield anymore but what the hey, it even feels different when driving. What do you think?

If you get a kilt it'll feel even more different while driving.

Looks better, less weight.

Save the fairing though.... that style might come back in pretty soon, seeing as how the 80s camaros/firechickens are so hot at the moment....

Tripod - leaving me all curious 'n stuff!

Okay, I liked the bike better before than after, too, but then again, I'm not much of a motorcycle fan to begin with...

Trust me; it's better that you not see that graphic.

Put a "TypeR" sticker on it and a large muffler.

Nice modification, looks similar to some of the retail naked street bikes. I personally own a 2002 Bandit S, and love the look of it quite a bit. Though it does have a windshield, and I can't imagine getting rid of that. Wind sucks at 70mph and above.

Oh I will save it for now. Maybe sell it on eBay some day, goes for 30-40 bucks which almost pays for the new headlight.

You know, that sounds suspiciously like a bet!

I'm a sucker for the simplicity of old Nortons, BSAs and Triumphs and tend to have a problem with the Ninja-fication of bikes. So strip it down. Keep it simple.

I found another pic of my bike cause it actually does look good with the fairing on the above picture. So here's how weird it really used to look:

I drove around a bit today, everybody tells me that it does look better now than it used to. It used to look old, really old (which it kinda is), now it doesn't anymore
Mission accomplished
