I would be interested what kind of Macintosh user you guys are. Here's your options: - Home users: Every user who's doing everyday work only on his Mac falls into this category. Everyday work includes the Internet, E-Mail, word processing, occasional work with Excel (or any other spreadsheet application), managing your digital photos (with iPhoto or whatever, using Photoshop to edit pics occasionally also falls into this category) and listening to Music. Users who create their own homepage(s) with .mac also count as home users, same as students who use their Mac primarily to write papers and/or take notes in class/library/wherever and/or work on presentations for college/school.
- Semi-professional home users: Additional to the home user, the semi-professional user also does occasional professional work like working with Photoshop and doing more than resizing or visually enhancing pictures every now and then. Stuff like video/audio editing, creating DVDs, rendering or creating your own homepage with Dreamweaver or hand coded also counts. It is important though that you are not making any money with whatever you do, moneymakers please see next option.
- Professional home users: Like the semi-professional user only making money at home with his/her work.
- Professional non-home users: Everybody who uses their Mac at work only please vote here. If you're using both, a Mac at work and one at home please pick the one of the above that describes you best.
That very same poll is running in a German Macintosh User forum right now so it might be nice to see what the difference is between German and American/International Mac users

Pro home user, only machine in the home office is a Mac. Though when I'm on-site I work with what they give me (Currently a Windows 2000 machine that's a 2.26GHz P4 with 512MB of RAM, and it's not that fast.)

Hmm well I have a place of work. But since I do 95% of my work from home.. I would say I was a Professional home user?
I go to the work place at least once a day. However, I don't have to deal with office politics.

I can't vote.
I work for a company (9-5, Mon-Fri) in an office and use a Mac.
At home on nights and weekends, I do freelance work with a Mac.
I'm a professional home user and a professional non-home user.
