i have about 6 main tabs/websites that i want to open when i start up safari. i should be able to do this via the homepage thing, but i can't figure it out.

is there a way to do this, maybe if i put all 6 in the same bookmark folder?

any ideas?

Well, you could:

1. Put all the links into one folder
2. Drag said folder to the Bookmarks Bar
3. Command-click the resulting drop down bookmark

Or set your homepage to a handmade local html file containing links to all those sites.

Do what f1000 said but also check the box that says "Auto-Click". Then when you click on that folder in your Bookmarks Bar, it will open all the bookmarks inside as tabs (umm... that might depend on your Tab preferences too, not sure) without having to use any modifier keys.
