I e-mailed HK, asking if their engineers and scientists had found another 5 degrees in a circle. They replied that it was a typo and they're fixing it.

I just figured it rotated 365° from lock to lock (imagine a steering wheel), not rotated continuously.

Always use radians, that's what I always do. Prevents a lot of confusion (except to people who don't know what the **** a radian is)

Exactly. The advert is perfectly correct and everyone's hilarity is somewhat unfounded.

There's no "lock", it's another implementation of the iPod touch-wheel apparently (which really gives it ∞° rotation).

you know, it helps if you have one of these.
I have the prior version, with the wired controller, not the wireless pictured in the link.
There is no infinity spinning as --erik-- suggests. It has locks at the outer ranges of motion, and works similarly to the jog wheel of a jog/shuttle control.

Well, thanks for clearing that up. The website wasn't very helpful:
Wireless 2.4GHz controller
Operates similarly to the iPod® control wheel
So not at all similar then?

Well, it does operate similarly - it's not a full scroll, but it does scroll the lists.
Left is the same as counterclockwise on the click wheel, right is the same as clockwise on the click wheel.
I'll get ahold of this wireless version and report back whether it's exactly the same or not.
As it is, it works really nicely. Hold it at lock in one direction and it jumps pages down, similar to the effect of scrolling rapidly on the iPod which then jumps by alphabet letter.

That's OK. According to the local news station, they worked 24/7 all weekend on a new story.
