Alright, we have quite a situation going on here: I have VPC 6.0.1 running and installed Windows 2000 Professional. Accidently, I forgot to increase the VRAM size from 4MB to 8MB (I need 1280x1024 @ 16 Bit) before I installed the OS and afterwards, although I was able to change it, the OS wouldn't recognize it.

Then I decided to screw it, set the VRAM size to 8 MB and installed Windows 2000 again (including deleting the existing installation). And guess what: Still, only 4MB VRAM which is only enough for 1024x768 @ 16 Bit and as you can imagine, on a 17" TFT that pretty much sucks.

Any suggestions?

i didn't have any problems changing the VRAM with WinXP Pro. I did it after the install. You might want to make sure the VPC Additions are installed.

UPDATE
N/m, found it. For the first time, the help file was really helpful

OK it's working now, the VPC additions are what's needed to let him recognize more than just 4MB of VRAM. Thanks a lot.
