Was there a major hand disease around then that forced people to keep their hands in their pockets?

That's where we kept the hand pumps for the shoulder pads. A subtle pump from the pocket and you could grow three sizes.

I have a purple Apple Rhapsody T-shirt in a box here somewhere. One day it might be worth tens of dollars.

Back when Apple was introducing the original iMac, they apparently had a deal with Sears to have a small in-store display staffed with volunteers to demonstrate the new computer. Apple advertised for said volunteers, and I took a flyer and applied. Low and behold, I was actually chosen to man the display at my local Sears.

Leading up to the day, Apple sent me a kit filled with materials...information, talking points, etc. There were also buttons to wear, a big poster of the famous Yum image, and a really high-quality white polo shirt with a small black Apple logo on the front and the Yum image on the back.

Unfortunately, the Sears deal apparently either fell-through or was indefinitely postponed, because I was alerted to not show up for the gig mere days before the event was scheduled. I still have the poster and polo shirt. It's a great shirt.

Great stuff. I'd like an Apple belt.

But damn, those clothes are hideous. Even in the 80's I didn't dress like that. My eyes are bleeding.

Maybe the Apple belt will follow the Apple Watch. No idea what sort of features you could have on that. I guess it could track changes in your waist size.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

In iBelt 2.0 the sensors would be thinner.

(I know.)

That speckled background was in every photographer's studio. Every single one.
