I am making a series of videos using QT screencasting. The .MOV comes out perfectly with the AV completely synced. However, since I am uploading these to Wikipedia I need to convert them to OGG. I am using the latest version of VLC which allows for OGG conversion. When the OGG comes out the video is a lot faster than the audio. Any ideas of what to do? I am a complete n00b at AV things.

I am using the Theora video codec and the Vorbis audio codec.

If you're feeling bold, and aren't intimidated by the terminal, this is probably your best bet:

ffmpeg2theora

There's also a QT plug-in that says it will export an Ogg format from QT/iMovie but I've never used it: Xiph.Org: QuickTime Components

I figured it out!

From MOV I convert it into mp4 by using MPEG Streamclip. It's free and works awesome. From there I convert it into OGG and the AV is totally synced up!

Yay!
