I just updated the IOS, and received my first message and I accidentally clicked the annoying forced something about stickers and now I see 8 annoying stickers on the left in my recent emoji. I have no idea how to get rid of them.
Does Apple have too many people with nothing to do?

They'll be there until Messages gets enough data on your actual emoji usage to give you your own "most recently used" emoji list. Yes, they're annoying. So are traffic, taxes and such. I'm just ignoring them until they go away.

Thanks GH, I had to post, as I have 9 large cartoon stickers as my favorite emojis on extreme left, though I did not put them there. You have the same thing?
And you can't drag them off?
I'm the least conspiracy person, but I have to think there is some sort of sadist at each software company (Excel and Photoshop) comes to mind who sits in a dark corner, rubbing hands together gleefully, thinking these things up....

No, it's a matter of showing off new emojis, nothing more.

They're "unicorns." And they (supposedly) talk. And since I'm not interested in using them, I ignore them...

Thats what I'm being forced to do now, but they are taking the real estate of the most important area of recent.... I don't like them, I never used them once, and that at the full 1/2 screen of my iphone for recent emojis.

Andi, if you wake up in the morning and a trillion dollar company decides that 1/2 your recent emojis are purple horses, unicorns.. well, maybe you have a point there.

Andi, just tested, they don't get overridden, actually they override the section of my favorites, but the stickers I don't want just stay there.

I tried before here and a few other Mac forums no luck. So I'm not offering a 1 million dollar reward to anyone who can tell me how or why I see purple unicorns for frequently use emojis
And 10 million for how to get rid of them. Thanks!

Kev, I've merged these two threads of yours since they are duplicates. If you are still having an issue, bumping an old thread is better than starting a new one, so users can see what's already been suggested.

kevs, you have impressively unusual problems. And I just had a thought.
Do you have a practical joker in the house? Or relative so inclined, who visits all too often? Putting an especially hard mattress in the guest bedroom can help fix that.
If someone is arranging most of these nuisance items, it would make far more sense. Maybe taking away their allowance wasn't a good idea after all.

Thank Andi, no one had a clue, so this goes on. Particularity an annoying nuisance as it takes 1/2 the iPhone screen, so I thought I'd give it a fresh start, alas, no one sitll has a clue; so just have to live with it.

Apple tends to throw so much into new OS releases that it’s hard to find controls and options for some stuff - even old stuff. This one was merely a mild annoyance for me, but those silly “talking unicorns” did get in the way of my using the emojis I typically DO use. Finding the control that turned them off at least got me more real estate for the stuff I actually use.

Ok GH, I'll assume you just joking and don't see the issue or have an answer/ solution.... May go to genius bar or open a ticket with Apple.

Go to the link turtle posted., Click on the “click here”.
Click on the FIFTH link on the page that opens up.
Scroll down to the “How To Completely Hide” heading. Follow the instructions there.
Seriously kevs, it is that simple.

Thanks I found it on my own.. i googled! Just google. Some obscure setting inside the iphone to furn off what call emojis. IN Keyboards called Emoji stickers, turn it off there.
I guess no one here knew about it. Lived with these purple unicorns for months. taking up 1/2 screen... Posted on three forums. No one said to go to keyboards and turn off Emoji stickers. Not even on this thread.
Still don't know why they appeared in the first place.
I got on board Apple in 90s to made things simpler. Now I'm assaulted by stuff and asking for and having to post how to be left along.... Hard to even keep up with this.
Any way I'll try to use Google more and the forums here less. I guess old pros are not keeping up with things like Emoji Stickers!

I must be on kevs ignore list.
Since I suspect he’s a troll (my bet is on besson), I will put him on ignore in return, so we both can have peace.
You guys enjoy his continued technology drivel.
