I'm diggin WC3 a lot, although it has my trusty G4 400 PCI showing its age. Despite having a Gb of RAM and a 32 Mb Radeon in it, it slows to a crawl even during small skirmishes with the video settings on lowest. AFAIK, the fastest G4 upgrade for this Mac is the Powerlogix PowerForce ZIF G4 550/220/1MB, which goes for US$267 on OWC. Would this upgrade significantly inprove performance? Alternately considering some of the Athlon barebone kits at TigerDirect.com, some good stuff in the $300 to $500 range....

I dumped my old screen name (level nine) beecause of its pathetic 48% win/loss ratio. My new account is 11-6 and level 6 now. Its decent, but I got really frustrated when I lost two games due to disconnects. I think its like 65% win/loss ratio. So I'll add adambetts to my sn, and see if you are ever on, although I doubt I would play arranged team games as they are a seperate record. (I play random team games). We could make a channel or something for mac users though and exchange strats and stuff.
