Please be patient and wait untill january!
word has it that the new minis will be coming out at the end of january: they should be the first with intel processors and possibly include an ipod dock.
be patient, wait a couple of months and you'll be WAY more satisfied.

Yeah, go buy a sledge instead* and go outside and play - far better for you than sitting in front of a computer...
*unless you get no snow where you live of course

What's the difference?
Edit, just had a look and it seems they are very similar except maybe a sledge is drawn by animals...(sorry a bit off topic)

too late people....i am typing on my brand new mac mini as i speak.....no regrets here....besides, i think i want to wait as far as the intel machines are concerned. i want to see the reaction of the populous.....anyway, i am loving it...so far, everything is working properly...no issues at all. I didn't even have to do any cumbersome "setup" to get ont he internet or anything. great! also i am loving this mighty mouse and I like the kensington keyboard i got. niiiice.

In March 2004, I was in the market for a laptop. I was thinking about getting a pbook or an ibook at that time so I was joining a bunch of Mac forums to find out stuff. I eventually decided to go with a pc laptop at the end of the summer.
After having countless problems with BOTH my desktop (software probs) AND my laptop (combination of software and hardware probs) I decided I wanted to knwo what sanity felt like, so I finally got a Mac Mini. Since I could afford it, I figured I would jump on it and treat myself at last.
Plus, this is a transitional machine...so I can get a feel for the OS. I eventually plan to get a powerbook.
Hopefully it's clearer why I only just now got a Mac but have been a member since 04.

Congrats on your new Mac!
Waiting for Steve to announce a Mac mini with Intel would be foolish, IMO.
Seeing as an announcement means nothing compared to actually shipping a product.
Everybody here who seems to "know" what Steve is going to announce are all going off the same speculation, which is all it is, speculation.
So which one did you get?
