Greetings from Austin, TX and thanks for the great site. I have been reading the site for a few weeks and it helped me make my decision. Tonight is my last night of depending on Windows for computing.

I will have the new equipment tomorrow and it will be a welcome addition after a 5 year absence from the Mac platform.

I want to save this pic of tiger woods at a 1440x900 resolution Widescreen.
What program can I use to do this? EBAY Item number: 8744785769.

http://cgi.ebay.com/2004-SP-SIGNATUR...QQcmdZViewItem

Any help given is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon

You should have waited until Jan 10th to buy.

I would love to get my mits on a dualcore Intel PowerBook after the 10th so I can finally get desktop power in a mobile Mac. Please make it so!

Congratulations Jon. I think that you made a wise purchase. IMHO very smart to hold off on a Rev, A Mac.

You can't save it in 1440 since it has a much lower resolution. It is possible to increase the res, but this will make the image look terrible. A good place to start for desktop backgrounds is always pixelgirlpresents.com, although they might not have a Tiger Woods oneā€¦
