I'm looking to put my fkeys to good use and assign them to open apps and run apple scripts. I often find that I have about 20 key applications I use but putting in the dock is sometimes annoying...

I've looked at Xkeys, and I was wondering what other people use. What's your favorite fkey assignment editor, or even any tool you use to open apps.

I often find that I open applications in groups, If I'm designing, it would be nice to launch my 4 or so design apps, and such.

How do users here organize there stuff? I used to sort my applications folder into groups like "design apps" and such but that always causes problems when applications try to update and such.

Please share any tips you have.

there are quite a few programs that can do this.

my preference is quicksilver which can set fkeys as triggers:

alternately i've had good experiences with keyboard maestro
