A friend of mine likes Pinapple Mayo sandwhiches......strange? I'm a pretty normal eater, but that just sounded way out there. I did take a bite, honestly i don't know what she likes about it.....

Another post jogged my memory. When I was a kid, my Dad used to spread just cooled bacon grease on bread, add mustard, and, voila! I remember it tasting rather good.

Here's a grand one. A had this once in a restaurant and liked it so much that my mom used to make it for my lunch in grammar school. My classmates used to tease the hell out of me until one of them tried it. It's really good. So here goes.
You start out with two slices of lightly toasted raisin bread and put cream cheese on one side and peanut butter on the other. Then you put sliced banana in between and close the whole thing up. I can't tell you how good this is.

Whenever I go to Bruegger's (a bagelry chain) I get the following sandwich:
On a "Parmesan Italiano" bagel,
lettuce
tomato
green peppers
cucumbers
light herb-garlic cream cheese
swiss cheese
tomato relish
In the words of Wayne Campbell, "It's excellent."
A special remark about the "tomato relish" - I don't know what the heck they put in this stuff, but it's amazing! Its taste is hard to describe, but it's tangy and vegetabley. To anyone with a local Bruegger's, I recommend that you make the short trip just to try the stuff. I'd bet you won't regret it!

Hey, I eat "normal food" too. I guess that I do not have a strange sandwich that I eat all the time but a good one at a pizza place is the following:
0) make sure that you have some kind of steak ready beforehand cut into strips or something
1) get a role
2) put mayo and mustard on
3) put mushrooms(cut) on the bottom
4) put minced onions on top
5) put two slices of provalone cheeses on each side
6) put in oven until cheeses melts and bread is toasty
7) heat up meat if it is cold then but on bread
8) put tomatos and lettuce on
9) enjoy!

oh
my
god
you people eat liquid fat with food that is already high in saturated fats!
Mayonnaise - does anyone here know how to make it? If you did you'd never eat it again! Basically it is oil blended with eggs (yolks I think)
But then again - the King did eat deep fried peanut butter sandwiches
Now, from a non-US person - what is 'miracle whip'? Was it's mother an animal or a test tube?
And Elzinat - you must have a jaw like a snake to be able to eat a sandwich that tall!

Miracle Whip is a brand of whipped cream that comes in both tub form (think butter spreads) or pressurized cans.
The only people that should be using Miracle Whip are those making ice cream sundaes or really cheap teenagers trying to get high. Or Cinemax grade pr0n films. I guess they get an exemption.
I always thought peanut butter and honey made a good (no nutritional value) sandwich.

*drool*.... you think thats good...
One guy I know at school has a beautiful little Austrian ham and cheese number every day.... call me jealuos! And as for Miracle Whip I think I had that when I was a baby in the US. Actually, we have a photo of me holding a can. Over here we have cream in a can made by Anchor, the guys that make the butter. Ohh that cream does sound real good...I think I have just gone and thrown my diabetes out of the window...

Demon, you're thinking of Cool Whip. Miracle Whip is marketed as Dressing, and comes in a jar of the same design as the mayo jar. Personally, I think it's just a marketing gimmick. I always buy it, because that's what my Mom bought. But, I've had the regular mayo, and the taste is not that different. Now I'm curious. I'll have to compare the labels (if I remember) on Monday when I do the grocery shopping.

Miracle Whip is a mayonnaise type food. It comes in jars. Its sorta like the margarine of mayo.

Yeah, but we all know that the fat isnt bad...its the honey, peanut butter, jelly and the bread that people are using (sugars) that are bad for you.
But then again - the King did eat deep fried peanut butter sandwiches
Actually it was fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches... hehe

When watching a movie once, one person was supposedly eating leftover pizza(cold) with maple syrup. I had to try it, and it was ok. My sister has also tried leftover pizza with peanut butter and marshmallow cream and liked it. (I don't care for marshmallow)

I come out relatively normal in this comparison - peanut butter and jelly, BLTs, grilled cheese. How boring. . .
For a really good sandwich, tho, throw some avacado, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on lightly toasted wheat bread.
And who dares impugn mayo?

Mayo is good.
Miracle Whip, sucks. It is *really* sweet mayo. blech.
I don't put sugar on my turkey sandwich, so I don't put miracle whip.
Peanut butter and banana is good.
And no one has mentioned the fluffernutter???? MMMMMM. (Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Fluff) on white bread.... mmmmm...

Doh. I realized my Miracle/Cool Whip mix-up as I was falling to sleep last night. I don't eat mayo or any of its cousins, so I blame that for my error.
I have a friend who ate the same exact sandwich for his school lunch from 7th to 12th grade. Turkey and mustard on wheat. It's a pretty standard sandwich...but damn, he was consistent.

Peanut Butter & honey is great - try adding banana and thinly sliced granny smith apple
A friend made me a chicken caesar salad sandwich recently - it was real good - complete with egg and anchovies

Another variation on the peanut butter and honey theme...
Peanut butter, honey, sliced bananas and wheat germ. It is crunchy and very tasty!
