Hello all...
I have a Power Macintosh 5500/225 and intending to upgrade it with one of the G3 level 2 cache cards. I am interested to hear from those who have upgrade this Mac about the speed improvement, compatibility problems...
Thanks.

The 5500 is hampered by so many design shortcuts that I wouldn't consider upgrading it unless you had a sentimental attachment to it or the G3 upgrade was really cheap.

When you can buy a new iMac for under $1000 with so many more powerful features...

Just my .02

Since this Mac model has a PCI expansion slot and is nicely designed, with G3 cards starting from $200, upgrading is a good consideration.
