I'm a neebie in MacFantasy and I was hoping to get some advice conserning about mac magazines. The MacFormat seemed to be bit too child-like but Macworld was quite allright. Is MacAddict any good. I'm living in Finland so I can't get one of the free trial issues. Are there more magazines to take notice? I'm also interrested in Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop CS and interface designing releted magazines. It's one of the most easiest to use media in the history of man. The magazine I mean.
Thanks

A thread was on this just a few days ago. A quick search should come up with it.

You could check out Mac Design. Mac oriented Tips, Tricks & Tutorials on Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, FinalCut Pro, etc.

Are there any Mac magazines geared towards IT people instead of designers?

I like both MacWorld and MacAddict. Welcome to MacNN, Balneum.

A revisit of the thread...
A little background, I used to be a reader of MacHome, MacAddict, and MacWorld. Since I keep every single issue I received and/or the lack of substance , I decided to end my subscription.
Well, I was at the public library last week and checked out the May issue of MacWorld. I really learned something out of it. Yeap, I do visit many Mac sites and forums several times a day. Later, I went online and reserved Feb, March, and April '05 of MacWorld from the library catalog. I read them this afternoon and noticed that MacWorld did some improvements compared to last year or 2003.
Although I'm not planning to start the subscription again, it's nice to see the improvement.

I find the British versions MUCH better than the US versions.

Are you the thread police? If I had a dime for every time I heard you say this, I could retire to King's Mill in a huge house.

American magazines = turn to page 132 to read the rest of this article in a crap font.

No, I'm not. But the original poster may want to know that as an existing one already is there, with plenty of posts and comments. There doesn't have to be eleventy billion threads on the same subject, even if does please your royal higness.

A simple solution is the ignore list.
BTW, what you seem incapable of noticing is that I was the second poster, not long after. It would have been different had I posted a few days later making the comment.
My original intention was to be helpful as the same subject was being discussed in a thread that was still going.
So, to sum it up my intentions were honest and trying to be helpful. Unlike your comment which was just being anal considering you responded with a comment THEN responded to my original post in this thread.
Are you the thread police??
OT: The thread on MacDesign being renamed Layers has some good comments in it.

True... but I can't afford $13 a pop from Barnes & Noble.

Tell me about it. But it's worth it every now and then when they have a cd or dvd you want. Plus, just the size difference alone would make up for the extra few bucks.

But there's another thread on magazines. We should find it and continue on there.

Ooohh, petty and catty comment. I'm put in my place. You are the thread police.
Ok, here's my bitchy retort. If I had a dime for every funny and catty comment of yours, I'd have ... about 10 cents.
