I've installed OS9, and the 'about' box, as well as the info on most components says that it is Z1-9.0. I think this has something to do with it being an Australian CD. The annoying thing is that there seems to be no way within the installer to select the standard US installation.

I have software that does not function correctly under Z1-9.0 that apparently does function under the US version of OS 9.

Does anyone know what the differences are between Z1-9.0 and the standard US installation?

The 'Z' refers to the international english version of the software (Australia would be 'X').

I'm not sure what the differences in the software are. One thing I noticed was that the QuickTime Player's update function (Help->Check for QuickTime Updates) didn't work until I installed the US QuickTime version.
