was wondering if its worth the $100 to upgrade to a 7200 rpm drive, i'm a graphic designer and work with very large files, was wondering if it will make a big difference in performance?

if you have to cache to disk, then definitely. if you are talking app launch times? yes. if you're talking boot times? yes.

if you're talking time to apply a filter or set of, then probably not.
