I posted this in the "Applications" forum because I wanted to know how to create and send an HTML eMail in Apple's Mail (Tiger), but never got one response Does anyone know how to create those nice looking HTML eMails we get from both Porn Spammers and Apple alike?

I'm not sure if you can...at least, very easily. Why do you want to send out an annoying HTML e-mail anyway?

If you're using Mail, do a View -> Message -> source and look at it raw.

If you have Tiger, open Safari.

Under File, you will see option for Mail Link Of The Page and (what you want), Mail Contents Of This Page. There are also keyboard commands for both.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

OMG That's Farkin Awesome. Thank you so much. That's like one of those "hidden" Mac OS X tips that they write books about. I mean it's right there in your face, but no where on Apple's website or in any manual anywhere.

Ok so it's there. But they taut it as a feature of Safari so that you can archive the websites you read or send interesting ones to friends. Under the Mail section they should talk about how versatile Mail can be with the power of Adobe GoLive CS 2 and Safari. Create your custom e-mail in GoLive, Preview in Safari, and then go to File -> Send Web Page. It's that simple!

That's the HTML eMail that will basically be sent out to my clients. I am going to tidy up a few things, add an unsubscribe option at the bottom and then send it off tomorrow. Not too bad for a couple hours work!

Personally, I don't like scaled fonts. But if it's your logo…

Overall, a good looking newsletter.

It does look pretty good overall. Nice job.

What program did you use? I ask because I noticed how all of the text has been converted to images, which seems pretty inefficient. Does it give you the option to keep the text live or not?

edit: Oh I see... you used ImageReady

Yeah, I'm pretty skilled when it comes to designing simple web pages using the combination of ImageReady/Photoshop/GoLive, and it makes it very easy. Create the entire thing in Photoshop, use ImageReady to Slice and Dice and then export the entire thing to GoLive, that way if I make any changes, it updates in GoLive on the fly and I can just click the sync button to change the webserver.
