Hi,

does anyone know if the new battery of the 600 Mhz ibook is compatible with the 500Mhz iBook?
The new battery will hold longer then the old one, so it would be a nice upgreade.

Greetings

What's your average battery lifespan (fully on, not sleeping)... I've been getting at most 2 or 3 hours (600 mhz).

I didn't realize that there was a difference between the 500's and 600's batteries. Would someone mind explaining what this difference is?

They are a slightly different voltage. Don't worry about it.

>They are a slightly different voltage

You would think that Apple would standardize on one type of battery to save costs.

They have probably gone to a newer technology or a different vendor to get better performance. When using different chemistries you get different voltages even though they are all based on lithium.
