We've all heard them. We've all loved them. Now its time to share them.
I'm compiling a playlist of some of the worst Christmas songs I can find. I know that we all have our favorites. Who can come up with the worst one?
(Post iTunes links if you can!)

Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Doofy, I think that was the only Star Wars anything that George Lucas didn't have creative control over. And see what happened! Horrid!

The Star Wars Holiday Special was bad enough. And that was Lucas.
And the first Meco Star Wars disco album was pretty cool (and funny)

Mamacita,
Where is Santa Claus?
Oh, donde Santa Claus?
Blah blah blah.
The best part was that this song was playing in every single store and restaurant in Beijing when I was there for Christmas 2004.

At least kids are cute when they sing off-key.
When my dad and his friends get together for parties (throughout the year, not just Christmas), they usually break out the Karaoke. To make matters worse, they actually THINK they're good.
Nothing worse than a bunch of old Asian guys singing karaoke...

I don't think that there are ANY good Christmas songs. They are all lame.

Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

How about a bunch of young English teachers? Yeah, Saturday was fun. If it wasn`t for the beer someone would have died.

The opposite of bad Christmas songs would be those sung by the Rat Pack.

I like the Rat Pack's renditions of a lot of holiday music, and if you include Bing Crosby I like a lot more of them. Oh, and if you haven't heard the duet Crosby and David Bowie sang on one of Crosby's Christmas TV specials, you're missing a real treat!
As for the bad stuff, I tune it out when possible. But is anyone else bothered by the fact that it's still mid-November, we in the U.S. haven't even had Thanksgiving, and EVERYTHING is Christmas-related now? I was seeing Christmas merchandise well before Halloween-lots of it! It seems counterproductive to me for advertisers and merchants to focus on ONE holiday when they could push three (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas) with different types of merchandise and manage to sell a lot more stuff... Am I missing something, or is it the market that's missing whatever it is?
