(I'm sure this has been asked before, so I apologize for asking this again.) I'm really considering getting the 2GB DIMM for my Powerbook HR for a total of 3GB because 2GB is just not enough. I just have too much apps running simultaneously and I need them running. Activity Monitor reports that there is only 5-10MB free memory on average. On the site, it says the DIMM is for the iMac G5s only and I'm wondering if this will work in the powerbook?

G4s can not address more than 2GB of RAM. If you put more than 2GB in, it will still only show 2GB.

Correct. You'll need a MacBook Pro if you want more than 2GB of memory.

Yeah, I'm considering getting a 20" iMac CD. But I'm gonna wait until the merom ones come out. I'm in no rush to get one.

Could you point out where you got that from?
This is of interest to me as we are purchasing 5-10 new MBP for our company. Our standard config is 2GB per laptop, but I get a lot of requests for more memory.
According to apple's website:
512MB (single SODIMM) of PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 memory on 2.0GHz configuration; and 1GB (single SODIMM) on 2.16GHz configuration; two SODIMM slots support up to 2GB

According to apple's website:
You quoted the description for the MBP. We are talking about a PB.
