Okay, I know not everyone likes emoticons in Instant Messaging - but I find them rather handy! Since iChat only has a few smiley's built in, I regularly use images from this page to place in messages - since iChat has Direct Messages, the images appear nicely inline just like normal emoticons.

Only problem is, they are .gif files, so there is slight 'white shadowing' from the antialiasing around the edges. Looks very bad with dark bubbles!

Since these emoticons don't seem to be 'copyrighted', and if they are, I have seen them in heaps of places - does anyone have a link to some transparent PNGs of these pictures?

proteus has a bunch of the main emoticons in this style and they are all .png files.
proteus > contents > plugins > proticons.emoticons

i have no idea if they are copyrighted or anything, like you said.

Cheers brother - just what I'm after. I think I will choose to disregard any copyright if it exists, since they are only to be used in iChat....
