is there a restriction on the path length for mounting a Windows share? Having trouble getting anything past three folders deep, able to browse further into the share but would rather go straight to the desired folder.

The limit may actually be on the way it's being shared.

On my windows machine, I'm sharing my entire C: drive as C with my one user.

The IP address of my machine is 192.168.0.100, I created five new folders, each inside the next as new1\new2\new3\new4\new5.
Inside new5 is new.txt.

By doing: smb://192.168.0.100/C/new1/new2/new3/new4/new5 from the connect to menu of the finder I get put straight into new5 and can see new.txt.

Let me know if that helped you.
