Got my first mac product, a macbook pro, around Christmas times and it's been great for the most part until recently. Being as the notebook has a camera built in I started making youtube videos, everything worked fine for a while but now every single time I try to capture new video imovie hangs when I hit the done button. It imports the movie just fine, and it's still there when I reload, but every time I click the done button so I can get back to the menu it hangs and I have to force quit. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

1.) have you updated to all the latest versions? Apple menu --> Software Update.

2.) If that doesn't help: Possibly corrupt preferences.
Quit iMovie, Remove the file in your own home folder (the one with the house icon):
homefolder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iMovie7.plist
and restart iMovie.
