Wow, over 100 in an old Buick deserves some cred!

I've had cars that have read high, low and spot on when compared to GPS– all with stock sized tires. I even had one car that read 3-4 mph higher than the GPS, consistently and regardless of speed.

150mph on I-270 south of Columbus in a brand-new 1970 Plymouth RoadRunner, 383 Hemi, Hurst Bayonet Shifter, Chrome mag wheels, 8-track tape player w/FM Stereo radio.
It was exhilarating to say the least.

5 mph more than whatever the fastest speed posted yet is.
Seriously, though, I got my old Scirocco up to around 118 on a cross-state trip (might have hit the limiter). Felt like it took forever for those last 10 mph, too. Of course, I sustained +100 mph speeds for what felt like minutes at a time. I probably never let the speedometer under 80 unless I had to.

GPS reported 137mph while speedo said 145ish. I wasn't looking down a whole lot. That and GPS has a bit of lag to it. Hence my "~5mph off" comment. My tire size isn't oem either. All in all, it seemed pretty quick for a late night jaunt.

I lied. I actually went several mph more, but didn't want to embarrass anybody.
I think the number is something like 5 mph more than whatever number you ever post in this thread or think about posting.

Both the Sable and Focus are dead on at 70mph according to the GPS. The Nighthawk reads 10% fast though.
Hit a GPS indicated 155kph in a Yaris today.

190 kph for a few seconds in my then brand-new Mazda3, downhill in a straight road during the night. I passed 3-4 cars that were doing 90 kph.. they probably didn't even see me I got pulled over a few seconds later, fortunately I had slowed down to 140

113 on an interstate bridge in my first car, a '93 Honda Civic. The car felt like it was going to shake to pieces.
Then I bought a Silverado that had a governor on it. It shut down at 98.
Now I top out at 7-10 mph over the speed limit. I'm a Papaw.

A few years ago my cousin was showing off his BMW to me, and we probably hit the upper 90s (and we got there fast from a dead stop).
A few years before that, I was riding shotgun with my brother while he patrolled the county (he was a sheriff's deputy at the time), and he went around 130 in his trooper Chevy Impala getting to a call (it was a slow night and I think he was happy for the excuse to drive fast).
Last weekend I was driving through Nebraska on my way home from Colorado, and the speed limit was 75, so I was doing a solid 82-ish in our Prius. Got around 50 miles per gallon doing it, too. I love that car.

buried needle on both
125 on the van speedo. Needle well past 125 and touching the odometer. If the drive is long... triple digits are going to happen, it's just a fact of life.
My corolla the same. My tire diameter is a little larger than stock so my speedo reads slower than actual. I have full custom suspension so it handles like a dream.

105mph on the German Autobahn. 105 because 170kph is as fast as my friend’s Citroën minivan would go! (GPS said 0–1kph slower than the digital speedometer in the dash.)
As a passenger, I’ve been in a Benz going over 220kph.

Fastest I've ever driven was 110 or so in my grandfather's 1970 Pontiac Bonneville 4-door. He figured that a 14 I was old enough to take her out and open her up.
He pushed it to 130 one time, but experienced a bit of handling slop so backed off in a minute or two.
What a wonderful car. We were blessed with a clean stretch of interstate near home, and it tested more than a few.

Buried the needle at 120 MPH on my '70 Chevelle.
Friend driving next to me (on I-90) in his dad's Saab said I was doing 130 MPH
100+ numerous times...but not in many, many years.

Me not that fast, 220km/h in Germany. As a passenger around 260km/h.
At home I never go beyond 160km/h, tickets get to expensive beyond that. My cruising speed is mostly 140-150km/h.
