Im sure people have benchmarked their panther systems by now, and I hope my problem isnt an isolated one.

I upgraded to panther on my 15" Albook, and I ran xBench to try and gauge the performance boost. I went from a 93 to a 72. It makes absolutely no sense, my processor scores have taken a huge hit.

Overall, the system feels faster and snappier, but its pissing my off that xBench isnt able to give me any evidence that my system has sped up (in fact, its slower!)

Oh no! Holy crap! This Panther is teh SUXZ!!!111

Chill out. XBench scores are not the end all.

And change your processor performance to Highest when running on battery, or run XBench with your laptop plugged in.

I wouldn't really be too concerned with XBench scores. It's not exactly the most consistent benchmark tool out there. Especially if you aren't using the right version.

Don't worry about it. If Panther feels faster to you, then it is faster. Don't let some crappy benchmark tool tell you otherwise.

funny. my Ti book scored 20% better with panther...but I don't think xbench is compatible with Panther.

Every test was worst, except for one that was up 400%....making my score better.

Just does not hold water....
